The Motsenbocker Road Widening project that began this past spring is on schedule and is currently in its fourth and final phase of construction.
Work on this project, which includes approximately 3,200 feet of roadway construction, will add a center turn lane, new asphalt pavement, and bike lanes and sidewalks on both sides of the roadway. Significant stormwater improvements have also been completed. Additionally, the remaining missing section of the East-West Regional Trail adjacent to the Public Service Company of Colorado (PSCo) electrical substation will be completed with this project.
In the month of August, a section of the east half of Motsenbocker Road from Endeavor Way to just south of Haswell Drive will be constructed with head-to-head traffic being shifted to the west side of the road. The project is slated for a fall completion date.
